What does a typical image package cost?
We charge $375 per arch (upper or lower).  Special formatting, such as NOBELGUIDE™ and SimPlant applications, add additional costs.

Is the cost covered by insurance?
Many medical insurers do cover CAT scans.

What are the advantages of using this type of scan and image?
Anatomy we used to guess at is now visible. Practicing with this image-guided technology gives entirely new vision and accuracy to diagnosis and treatment.

How fast and by what means do you share the images with the referring doctor?
A photo-quality image and, if requested, a CD containing images, is mailed to the patient’s referring dentist, dental specialist or doctor within a few days of the scan being taken.

How long would a patient typically have to spend at CMI to have images taken?
Scans take no more than five minutes, total.  We do everything possible to ensure minimal wait time in our office.

Does your imaging ever detect unexpected pathology in a patient?
Unrelated findings and pathology seen in scans are often commonplace.  For instance, we have detected latent sinus disease in a large number of our scanned patients.
